Carolina Can Cleaning & Pressure Washing is a local, veteran-owned family business serving Moore and Scotland counties, North Carolina. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://carolinacancleaningnc.com (the "Website"), contact us, book or receive our services, or communicate with us, and how we use, share, and protect it.

In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Carolina Can Cleaning and Pressure Washing LLC, doing business as Carolina Can Cleaning & Pressure Washing. "You" means anyone who visits our Website or uses our services. This policy is part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Service address and property details: your service address and ZIP code, billing address, where your cans are kept, number of cans, gate codes or access instructions, notes about pets, and similar details you share so we can do the job.
  • Schedule details: your trash pickup day, the approximate time your cans are emptied (for example, "Before 8am"), your next emptied date, your service frequency and plan, and service history.
  • Contact form details: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, email, phone, address or ZIP, what you need (for example, residential cleaning, a commercial quote, or a pressure washing quote), your message, and your text-message consent choices.
  • Referral and marketing details: how you heard about us, who referred you, and promo codes you use.
  • Payment details: when you pay, you enter your card details directly with, and they are processed by, the payment processor used by our booking system. We do not receive or store full card numbers. We may see limited details such as the card type, the last four digits, the expiration date, billing ZIP code, and whether a payment succeeded.
  • Communications: emails, texts, calls, voicemails, and messages you send us (including through social media), and our replies.
  • Reviews and feedback that you give us directly or post publicly about us.

Information we collect when we provide services

  • Photos and videos of your cans and, for pressure washing jobs, the work area, taken before and after service to document and confirm the work. We try not to capture people, faces, license plates, or house numbers.
  • Service records, such as the date and time of each service, whether cans were out and accessible, and notes from our team.

Information collected automatically on our Website

When you visit our Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information using cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies, such as:

  • your IP address and approximate location (city or region) derived from it;
  • device and browser type, operating system, language, and screen size;
  • pages you view, links and buttons you click (for example, "Book Now," phone, and email links), file downloads, the website or ad that referred you, and the date and time of your visit; and
  • cookie and advertising identifiers.

See Section 7 for details on cookies and the specific tools our Website uses.

Information from others

We may receive information about you from our booking system (MyRoute Pro), our payment processor (such as payment status), a customer who referred you, and social media or review platforms when you interact with our pages (such as your public profile name on a review).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • provide our services, including scheduling cleanings around your trash day, routing our trailer, finding and accessing your cans, and confirming completed work;
  • create and manage your customer account, process payments, subscriptions, and refunds, and apply promotions and referral credits;
  • respond to your questions and quote requests, including commercial and pressure washing quotes;
  • send service messages, such as confirmations, reminders, service-day notices, weather delays, completion confirmations and photos, and billing notices;
  • send marketing messages and offers where you have agreed to receive them (see Section 5);
  • improve our services, Website, and routes, and understand how visitors find and use our Website;
  • measure the results of our advertising and show our ads to people who may be interested in our services (see Section 7);
  • show photos and videos of our work in our marketing, as described in our Terms & Conditions (you can opt out);
  • keep records, prevent fraud and spam, protect the safety of our team and customers, and handle disputes or damage claims; and
  • comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations and enforce our Terms.

We use your information only when we have a good reason to do so, such as:

  • To do what you asked: we need your information to give you a quote, book and perform your service, and bill you.
  • Legitimate business needs: running and improving a small local business, keeping our records, preventing fraud, keeping our team safe, and understanding how our Website and ads perform, in ways you would reasonably expect.
  • Your consent: for example, marketing text messages, and certain cookies or tracking where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligations: keeping tax and business records and responding to lawful requests.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent it. We share information only as described here:

  • Booking and customer-management software (MyRoute Pro): our booking, scheduling, customer accounts, invoicing, and customer communications run through MyRoute Pro, which stores and processes customer information on our behalf.
  • Payment processor: card payments are handled by the payment processor connected to our booking system, which receives your card and billing details to process payments securely.
  • Email, text, and phone providers: companies that help us send and receive emails, text messages, and calls (including the messaging features of our booking system and our email provider).
  • Website, analytics, and advertising providers: our website host and the WordPress plugins and tools listed in Section 7, such as Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, and Ads) and Meta (Facebook). These providers receive information collected through cookies and pixels on our Website.
  • Team members and contractors who help perform services, only as needed to do the job.
  • Professional advisors, such as accountants, insurers, and attorneys, when needed.
  • Legal requirements and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe in good faith that sharing is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our team, the public, or us.
  • Business transfer: if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be required to honor this policy for that information. We will notify customers if this happens.
  • With your permission: for any other purpose with your consent.

Our service providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us and as described in their own privacy policies.

5. Text Messages (SMS) and Mobile Privacy

  • We send service-related text messages (such as reminders, service-day notices, completion confirmations, and billing notices) to customers who provide a mobile number. We send marketing text messages only to people who have separately opted in, for example by checking the marketing consent box on our contact form. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
  • We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or text-message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the service providers that help us send messages and run our business (such as our booking system and SMS provider), and as required by law.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or call (910) 690-9414. After you reply STOP, we may send one message confirming your opt-out.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Emails and Calls

We email you about your service and account. If you are a customer or have asked us for information, we may also send occasional offers or news by email; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. After you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we will still send service and billing emails while you have an active account. We may keep records of calls, voicemails, and messages to help serve you.

7. Cookies, Pixels, and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that send information to a service provider when a page loads or a button is clicked. Based on a review of our Website on October 2, 2026, our Website uses:

  • Google Analytics 4 (through the MonsterInsights WordPress plugin) to understand how visitors use our Website, such as pages viewed, outbound link clicks, and form or button events. Learn more at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Tag Manager, a tool that loads other tags on our Website.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which tells Meta when you visit our pages so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show ads to people who visited our Website. You can adjust ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
  • Google Ads tags, which help us measure whether our Google ads lead to visits, calls, or bookings and may be used for remarketing. You can adjust Google ad personalization at https://myadcenter.google.com.
  • Google Fonts, which loads the fonts used on our Website from Google's servers; this shares your IP address with Google.
  • The MyRoute Pro booking window, which loads when you click "Book Now" or "Book Online." The booking and customer portal pages are run by MyRoute Pro and may use their own cookies.
  • Strictly necessary and performance cookies set by WordPress, our Divi theme, and our caching/performance plugin (WP Rocket) to make the Website work and load quickly. Our contact form also uses a simple spam-check question.

Our Website links to (but does not embed) our Google Business reviews and map listing, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok pages. Those sites set their own cookies when you visit them.

The tools on our Website may change over time. We will update this section when we add or remove tracking tools.

Your choices. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and many offer private browsing or tracking protection. Blocking cookies may affect how some features work, such as the booking window. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at https://optout.aboutads.info and https://optout.networkadvertising.org.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common industry standard for these signals, our Website does not currently respond to them.

9. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:

  • Customer account and service records: generally kept while you are a customer. In some instances, we keep them for four to five years after your last service.
  • Billing and tax records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to 7 years).
  • Contact form messages and quote requests that do not become a booking: up to 2 years.
  • Service photos: documentation photos up to 2 years; photos used in marketing may be kept as long as they are in use, unless you opt out.
  • Text-message opt-out records: as long as needed to honor your choice.
  • Website analytics data: according to the retention settings of the analytics provider (for Google Analytics, 14 months).

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it, unless we must keep it to comply with law or resolve a dispute.

10. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. These include using reputable providers for booking and payments, encrypted (HTTPS) connections on our Website, limiting access to customer information to people who need it, keeping gate codes and access notes in our customer system rather than in public places, and using strong passwords. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, so we do not store full card numbers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by North Carolina law.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You can contact us at any time to:

  • Access the personal information we have about you;
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date (you can also update much of it in your customer account);
  • Delete your information, subject to information we must keep for legal, tax, billing, or dispute reasons, or to finish a service you requested;
  • Opt out of marketing texts (reply STOP) and emails (unsubscribe link), and opt out of our use of your property's photos in marketing; and
  • Limit advertising cookies using the choices in Section 7.

To make a request, email Info@carolinacancleaningnc.com or call (910) 690-9414. We may need to verify your identity, for example by confirming the phone number or address on your account, before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent with your written permission. We will respond within a reasonable time and within any period required by law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

State privacy laws. Some states give their residents additional privacy rights, such as rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Many of these laws apply only to larger businesses, and North Carolina does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law. Even so, we will honor reasonable requests from any customer as described above. If you live in a state with such a law and it applies to us, you may also appeal a decision we make about your request by replying to our response.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our Website links to, and works with, services run by others, including MyRoute Pro (booking and customer portal), our payment processor, Google, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. We encourage you to read them, for example:

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our business, tools, or the law changes. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make significant changes to how we use or share personal information, we will notify customers by email or text, or by a notice on our Website, before the change takes effect.
